Karen Beth Glenn, of Lumberton, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. She was born July 10, 1966, in San Antonio, and was the chosen child of Suzie and J. D. Glenn.

Karen grew up in Beaumont and had lived in or around the area for all of her life. She was currently residing in Lumberton, with her partner Vickie Lynn Vincent.

Miss Glenn attended all Beaumont Independent School District schools and graduated in 1984 from West Brook High School. She attended Lamar University and worked at various endeavors of childcare, food service and home renovation.

An avid collector of Peanuts and Charlie Brown memorabilia, Karen earned the nickname “Chuck” with most of her close friends. An entire room in her home was dedicated to this popular comic strip.

Her infectious personality and sense of humor provided Karen with a wealth of close friends, who shared many an activity together. She was warm-hearted and caring to all who knew her. Karen was a generous giver of whatever she had to those who needed her assistance.

Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Glenn; brother, Brian Glenn and his wife, Kerry, and their three children, Bryce, Lexie and Kaden; her partner, Vickie Lynn Vincent, her son, Casey Fain and his wife, Patricia, and their two children, Izabelle and Dylan; and several close cousins and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Wetsel; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Glenn, Sr.; and her aunt, Helen Jane Wetsel Todd.

Her biggest legacy is her multitude of truly close friends who felt a special bond with Karen. She was a “people” person who loved friendship.

Her memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with a gathering of her family and friends to follow.

A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.

Memorial contributions may be made to CASA of Southeast Texas, Inc., 2449 Calder, Beaumont, Texas 77702.
