Dear Barbie, John, Debbie, Judy and families,
I was so saddened to hear about Bill's passing. He was a great guy! He was so like his Uncle Cookie, loved to be in a garage fixing a car! I think the mechanic gene has been passed down through the generations in the Cook family! I wish that we had been able to visit you all in Texas before Hal passed away last month. Know that our family has you in our thoughts and in our prayers.

Barbie, Jenny & Zach. We had known Bill but a few years, but his quick smile and quicker wit always brought a smile. His encyclopedic knowledge of all things mechanical always surprised us. The only way any of this makes sense is that God has a vintage car that even He couldn't get running, and He called Bill home for some advise. Bill is looking down, smiling, comfortable and happy.

Bill you were a wonderful person. Im so thankful that I got to meet you. I remember the time you took me out on your boat on the Neches River. It was the most fun I have had in a long time. We rode the knee board and the water ski's and it was a blast! You are in a better place now Bill so that brings me peace. You will always be remembered.

Im sitting here thinking of what to write in your guest book, something that really expresses how sad I am that I wont hear you riding up on that loud (but freakin sweet) Motorcycle to the house again. But the only things I can think of are that time you were loudly singing that "Cocaine" song by Eric Clapton, you sounded nothing like him but it was hilarious. Or the time we sat in lawn chairs watching Monty push-mow the lawn, talking about how much energy he always has while we're drinking ice cold beverages doing nothing. Or the free cookies you and dad would always stop in for while I was bored watching TV at work. Or the moment I realized that you were the same Bill as Bill at West End Automotive--really embarrassing after so many years of knowing you. I can't tell you how much Im going to miss having you around. Ill just keep thinking about all of the crazy Bill stories you've told me, and really cherish having such a great person like yourself in my life.

It's crazy to think that we had to lose someone as great as you. You were one of a kind. It was impossible to be around you and not laugh. You were a great husband, dad, grandfather, and friend. I promise the next time i'm at Willy Burger I will get the chili cheese hot dog with onion rings for you. Because that sounds so good, i'll go ahead and get two and eat both haha. You will always be missed. Love you, Bill.

Barbie, Zach, Jenn and family, I am so sorry for your loss. The last 5 years that I have worked for my father, i became close to Bill. He would stop by daily and head to lunch with us or just take a seat up here in the office and talk. He was SO VERY PROUD of all of you. He was always telling us how you all were doing and of course he had a new funny story about you guys every day. He was an inspiration to you guys, BUT, you were all such an inspiration to him. I've have never known a person who was so kind, selfless and just full of life like he was. I will FOREVER think of him and smile and know that he crossed all of our paths for a reason and I myself have learned so much from him. Mr. Bill,we all will miss you so very much.

Barbie,and Family, I am so sorry for your loss of Bill, he is such a great man. I can hear him now ,as soon as his door would shut,yoooo! Then he would start to whistle ,his smile always there. Bill took the time to ask how we were ,and tell joke's that made me smile. I know Heaven is enjoying him now, just as we always did. Good bye for now Bill, see you in Heaven.

A Note for the family of
Bill Cook

Dear Barbie, Jenny, Zach, John, Debbie, and Judy,

I grew up with Bill on Village View Rd in Tallmadge, OH. I was always in awe of his prowess in fixing cars and motorcycles. He was the "Fonzie" of our neighborhood.

Several years ago I was blessed with the opportunity to go on a fishing trip with Bill, John, and our respective sons in WV. It was a great time! I particularly recall one chilly evening when we gathered around the campfire by our cabin. We were frying up our catch of trout for the day and Bill and I were sharing tall tales and making up songs. You may not have known, but Bill is an excellent story teller and poet/songwriter. Now you do.

I will always remember that special time and our fellowship around the campfire. It is one of my favorite memories and I treasure the joy we experienced on that fishing adventure.

Our hope and help is in the Lord. I know Bill believes that. The Apostle''s Creed speaks of the "resurrection of the body" and "the communion of saints". I know Bill believes this.

I trust that one day we and Bill will again break bread together and have our fill of the fish in God''s Kingdom. Certainly new adventures await us in God''s new creation. I would not be surprised if we fish together again in His new creation. "Brother John" and I will catch the fish while "Uncle Bill" sits back and relaxes with a good book or catches a nap. God surely has wondrous things in store for his children.

his visits at the Alamo complex in Beaumont, as he left us with a smile and a laugh. May he rest in peace.

Barbie, Jenn, Zach, and family, we're so sorry about your loss. I know he meant the world to you. I have known Bill for 30 years, but in the last 5 years I had become to know him personally and we became best friends. Although I thought I knew how to have fun and take it easy on a daily basis, he gave me new insight on how to really do it. I'm really going to miss his multiple daily visits to the shop. We would just take off and go the Sonic or lunch or breakfast. During the summer we would leave work and head to the river for some water sports. Although I'm going to miss this, I won't forget it. I'll continue his well entrenched easy going attitude. We love you guys very much.

Dear Barbie,
It has been many years since we have seen you and Bill, but we will always remember our times together with great joy. Remember our square dancing days? ...and Catherdral in the Pines?
We are so sorry to hear about Bill's passing and hope you will take comfort in knowing that he is with our heavenly Father where one day we will see him in a place where there is no suffering or sadness but goodness and joy everlasting.

Bill was the smartest, most fun-loving, sweetest guy ever. He was a role model for all of us cousins and we loved him and looked up to him. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Bill's promotion to Heaven. We will always remember him from our days together at Cathedral in the Pines.
