A native of Silsbee and living several years in Lubbock, Texas, he moved to Beaumont to work for the Department of Human Resources as a fraud investigator. He enjoyed his work and served them well until his retirement.

He leaves to mourn him his loving and devoted wife, Cindy McNeel Harrington; his mother, Alice Clay of Port Arthur; a daughter, Cindy Thomas of Beaumont; his mother-in-law and best friend, Pat Bradley Peveto of Beaumont; a stepson, Kyle Broussard; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Brad McNeel, and father-in-law, W.J. McNeel, Jr. He was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie and Gary Harrington.
It was his wishes to be cremated under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary, 1605 North Major Drive with no memorial service at his request.
