A native of Houston and lifelong resident of the Beaumont area, Mr. O’Brien was born December 19, 1955, to Joyce Johnson O’Brien and Paul Bernard O’Brien.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce O’Brien of Beaumont; children, Ryan O’Brien, Elizabeth O’Brien, and Katherine O’Brien; grandson, Dakota; brother, Dennis O’Brien and his wife, Linda of Humble; and nephews, John Paul O’Brien and Shaun Paul O’Brien.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul O’Brien; his brother, Toby O’Brien; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard O’Brien and Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Johnson, Sr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, Chapel, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Broussard’s.

Dear Aunt Joyce & Dennis I'm so very sorry to hear about Kelly's passing I wish I was able to have known him and Terry and you too Dennis I was a little girl when you all came up to visit I don't have the memory of you guys. I've heard so much about you all it would be nice to have the faces to go with the stories I've heard. I just want to say my thoughts & prayers are with you and your family.
