Mrs. Opal and family,
It is with a very heavy heart that we write to express our deepest sympathy and sorrow of the loss of your beloved one. He was a wonderful gentleman that greeted us when we moved to Texas and made us feel at home. I still remember the day he 'rescued' me from my hot attic when he could only see my dangling legs. Needless to say he shared some common sense with me that day. Both of you supported my daughter and her endeavors. I never pressed for details but always kept a careful watch from afar. Please know that our hearts go out to all his wonderful family and friends and that he was a special neighbor. A little thought of comfort: I taught my daughter that when a soul passes to heaven, a little tear is made in the night sky, and Mr. Richard is peeking out as a star to look over you. With heartfelt sympathy, thoughts, and prayers, Shelly & Gabbie ~j~

To all of Dick's family and friends:

I never knew Dick personally but my brother, Grant Michael, was in his graduating class at Pleasantville High School, Pleasantville, NJ (which has been omitted from his obituary) and Grant was a friend of his back then. I used to hear Grant speak of him often. Norman and Helen were classmates of mine in 1953, so I do know them. I send you all my sympathy and hope that you will be comforted by your many memories in the days and years ahead.
