I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. I was out of town and was not able to attend the services. She was such a sweet lady. I have a lot of wonderful memories of her during the years at the ballpark. Love ya!

My prayers are with your family--Miss Meredith was my PE teacher at James Bowie Jr. High in Beaumont. She was hard on us, but was always smiling-she made me the best I could be in Track, and Basketball--she knew I hated Volleyball and let me go run instead--she and Miss Aiena were such role models--and she had an awesome set of legs!! The education system needs more like her. Love to all.

NELWYN, HER HUSBAND DUDLEY, NOW DECEASED, AND I ATTENDED LAMAR COLLEGE TOGETHER. THE THREE OF US MAJORED IN PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND BECAME TEACHERS AND COACHES. DUDLEY AND I PLAYED FOOTBALL TOGETHER AND THE THREE OF US BECAME CLOSE FRIENDS. MOST FRUSTRATING TO ME WAS THE FACT THAT I COULD NEVER BEAT NELWYN IN BADMINTON. WE HUNTED , FISHED AND WORKED TOGETHER. DUDLEY AND I PLAYED THE GUITAR AND SANG UP EVERY SONG WE KNEW AND THE MADE UP SOME. I RECALL A SONG BY THE "OLD JIMMY ROGERS" THAT WAS TITLED "OLD FRIENDS ARE ALWAYS THE BEST". TRULY, NELWYN AND DUDLEY WERE THE BEST. LOVE THEM AND MISS THEM. RONNY WALKER
