Jesse Johnson Jr. , 39, of Winnie died September 14, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. A native of Harrisonburg, Virginia and lifelong resident of Hamshire, Jesse was an installer for Simplex Grinnell.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Odie B. Watson and his uncle, Randy Marcantel. Survivors include his mother, Marcella Watson of Beaumont; sister, Patricia Joseph of Beaumont; nephew, Johnathan Watson of Beaumont; grandmother, Betty Marcantel of Fannett; aunts, Roxsann Boudreaux of Orangefield and Karen Sue Stanley of Nederland; uncles, Ronnie Marcantel of Beaumont, Steven Marcantel and Eddie Marcantel both of Nederland; and many many friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 18, 2004 at Broussard’s , 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont followed by burial at Oak Bluff Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jesse’s close friends. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening, September 17, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
