James David Carter, 40, of Fannett died April 29, 2011 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.
He is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Sandra Carter of Fannett; brother, Duke Carter and his wife Jeannette of Liberty; nieces Sarah and Alexis; nephew Trevor; grandmother, Mrs. J. M. Evans of Fannett; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Cremation was handled through Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie.
Jimmy, so sorry to hear of your loss.
I am very sorry to hear that David passed away. I have many fun memories from when we were all young kids playing in the neighborhood . When a good rain came it was always time to go catch crawfish which David did so well with Mr. Carter's big scoop he had. David was a good friend and he will be missed.

We can't begin to explain how much David meant to us along with the rest of you! He was a very special person and will be missed more than we could ever say. I will always remember that chuckle of his, it always made my day. Just remember we are here for ya'll if you need anything.

Sandy and Jimmy, I am so very sorry for your loss and he will be missed greatly. But just remember you will see him again in heaven. Be strong, because you know he would want you to be, and thank God for the days that he let you have the time with him. I know it doesn't seem right sometimes, but maybe one day we will understand.
