She was born in Stowell, on July 4, 1928, to Emma Boudreaux Miller and Joseph Miller, and was the youngest of their thirteen children. Rena had been a resident of LaBelle for sixty-two years and graduated from Fannett as valedictorian in 1947. She was a lifetime member of Saint Mary Catholic Church in Fannett where she served as Eucharistic Minister and was also a member of the Altar Society. Rena served as Regent of Catholic Daughters of America; Rena received the Christian Ministerial Alliance Community Service Award in 1994. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Organization in Fannett for thirty-five years, and was a member of the LaBelle-Fannett Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Rena was on the board of the American Cancer Society and also spent time working with Boys’ Haven.

She had been a voting election judge with Precinct 31 for over forty years. Amongst all that she dedicated her time to, Rena holds most dear to her heart the prayer blanket ministry she started years ago. She had made over one hundred and fifty blankets for her sick friends which she distributed personally.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I haven't known
Rena that long. I met her when I joined Catholic Daughters.
Rena was always so kind and made me feel liked I had been a
part of the group for a long time. She was always helping others. I will miss her at our meetings. She will surely have a special place in heaven.
God Bless You All.
