Emmett Jacob Merrill, 38, of Kountze, died Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at his residence. Funeral Service will be Saturday September 11, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Broussard’s Chapel, 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas 77625 with burial to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be today, Friday, September 10, 2004 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the morturary.
A native of Beaumont, Emmett lived most of his life in the Lumberton area and was an air conditioning Technician.
He is preceded in death by his father: Marshall Donald Merrill, Jr. and his grandfather: Marshall Donald Merrill, Sr.
He is survived by his daughters: Ashley Merrill of Kountze, Emmylie Merrill of Lumberton, Zailey Hidalgo of Lumberton; son: Zachary Hidalgo of Lumberton; mother: Shirley West of Kountze; sisters: Dympthia Dicicco and her husband Al of Beaumont, Donna Al-HMoud and her husband Andy of Port Arthur; brother: Josh Merrill of Vidor; grandmother: Lillie Harris and her husband Carl of Lumberton and many Nieces and Nephews.
