Bessie Mae Braddock Ishee, 96, of Vidor died September 4, 2004 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Rose Hill, Mississippi and resident of the area for most of her life, Bessie was retired from Jefferson County.
Her husband of fifty-one years, Vien Martin Ishee; and sons, Lamar and Olen Ishee, preceded her in death. Survivors include her sons, Wilmer E. Ishee, Sr. and his wife Martha of Nederland and Jim Ishee and his wife Mollie of Vidor; sister, Mary “Tiny Harrison of Houston; daughter-in-law, Anita Ishee of Tyler; grandchildren, Tommy Ishee of Louisiana, Tyler Ishee and Austin Ishee both of Nederland, John Ishee of Beaumont and Gary Ishee of Nashville, Tennessee; step grandchildren, Allen Paskell of Indiana, Regina Paskell and Kara Paskell both of Vidor, and Keith Paskell of New Mexico; and thirteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont followed by burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, September 7, 2004 at the mortuary.
