J.C. Dale, 78, of Beaumont, died January 2, 2011. He was born November 26, 1932, in Nacogdoches, to John Benjamin and Dora Washburn Dale.
Mr. Dale attended Beaumont High School and Lamar University in Beaumont and graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. J.C. retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company with thirty-seven years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Hughes Dale; daughter, Susan Dale; son, John Dale and his wife Melissa; three wonderful granddaughters, Amber Dale, Brittany Dale, and Emily Dale all of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Woodrow Dale, William Dale, and George Dale; and three sisters, Inez Morton, Imogene Jessen, and Melba Akin.
Mr. Dale was a member of North End Baptist Church. He has gone to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; he is looking forward to the day when his family can all be reunited in the wonderful place called Heaven.
His funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with a lifelong friend, Brother James Beaty officiating and assisted by Ronnie Tucker. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 4, 2011, at Broussard’s.
