Mary was born in Roganville, Texas to Reverend S. L. Wise and Minne Payne Wise, raised in Hodge, Louisiana and spent most of her life in Jonesboro, Louisiana. She lived in Beaumont for four years.

When reflecting on Mary Treadway’s life, she was a woman of virtue and honor. She was not a woman of materialistic values. Her desire was to always live for the Lord and for her whole family to be saved. Her job on this earth was to pray without ceasing, witness to all of those she encountered, and to see her whole family saved. Her testimony was, “I still have the same desire that I had when I received the gift of the Holy Ghost in 1941. I want to live for God, walk with Him, and let my life be a living testimony.” Her testimony will live forever.

In closing, Mother, Grandmother, and friend, you are loved and will be dearly missed. We will carry on your mission and carry the true gospel to every one we encounter and will remain concerned about the rest of the family until we all gather on the other side.

She is survived by sons, Rev. Lonnie Charles Treadway and his wife, Patsy Ann, of Beaumont and Eddie Wayne Treadway and his wife, Becky, of Jonesboro, LA; grandchildren, Randy Treadway and his wife, Rhona of Jonesboro, Louisiana, Leslie Treadway and his wife, Lisa of Beaumont, Elizabeth Klem and her husband, Dr. Jeff Klem of Beaumont, Kathie Whiteheart and her husband, Rev.
