E. A. “Butch” LaBauve

So sorry to learn about the loss of your father. He was the most caring soccer coach I ever had and I will always cherish the wonderful times we had at All Saints. You all are in my prayers.

I remember the first time I ever met Butch. I was signing up for soccer at his house when I was eight years old. He was such a great coach. We had more fun traveling around with him. He could always make us laugh and mad at the same time.

You will be Greatly Missed. The soccer family has lost one of the Best Coach's.

You may be gone but never forgotten!!!!

I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. I apologize for not being there to support all of you. Please don't hesitate to call if you need something.

My Dad, Otis Clement, worked for LaBauve Construction as a dragline operator for years and know that Butch was great to my Dad. I know that he will surely be missed and I would like for you to know that you are in my prayers.

Butch your in a way better place now than you were in your last days, I'll always remember our talk that we had when i asked for your permission to marry Cristi i promised you then and I'll promise you now that i will always love her and look out for her and Christopher, its just so sad that you had to leave before we did it, I want keep you and take up to much of your time i know there's a line of people with open arms waiting on you, your surely going to be misses, and if it's not to much trouble if you see Dena please tell her me & jasper are doing just fine we think about her often and miss her terribly, let her know just how special of a lady Cristi is but I'm sure she had a hand in sending her & Christopher our way & for her not to worry that Jasper is going to get a wonderful mom & brother along with new aunts & cousins, love your soon to be son-in-law Lloyd W. Your father and his parents lived in High Island Texas across the street from a small cafe. My parents owned the cafe, and you Dad and his parents were a big part of our lives. I am sorry to hear of his death and want you to know he was loved by the Neichoy family. Go with God in your sorrow.

Your Dad was such a great man. We have enjoyed the years that Sarah got to play on his team. She and I will rely miss you Dad pushing her to be everything he saw that she could be. There are not many people that are so giving of their time and patience these days but Butch was one that gave more than the kids he coached knew. He will forever be "Butchie" to me. He was my second father and Heather, Becky and Christy, sisters to me. I spent almost as much time at that house as I did my own. I had many soccer coaches over the years but only one of them had the guts to tell me "Are you bleeding? Then suck it up and get back in the goal" when a ball hit me in the face. That might sound harsh, but I always felt only love from Butch and Judy both. Two of God's best Earth Angels are gone but, believe me when I say they will NEVER be forgotten by ANYONE who ever met them!! Their love for each other was second only to the love they had for their kids and grandkids. I hope all three of you find peace knowing you were loved by two of the best parents I ever knew. I love you all and hope to see you soon.

Dear Girls,
I am saddened to hear about your dad. What a guy. I will always have fond memories of him on the soccer fields and all the years he and Judy devoted as coaches, referees, organizing the Spindletop Association and their spirt and love for the game. They were good people, parents and friends. I will miss them both. May you find comfort knowing so many people respected your parents. God Bless.
