Melba Davis Harris, 73, passed away on August 26, 2004.
She was born in Shelby County, October 11, 1980. Melba is preceded in death by her sister, Hazel and her husband Daniel Carmel of Lumberton; brothers, Lamar Davis of Beaumont and Raymond Davis of Zavalla.
She is survived by her son, George Harris III and his wife Chrissy of Guadalupita, New Mexico; daughter, Carol Duckett of Oglesby, Texas; three grandsons, two great-grandsons, and one great granddaughter all of Oglesby; niece, Betty Ann James and her husband Wayne of Houston; two great nephews and one great niece.
She retired from Beaumont Bone and Joint Institute after 18 years of service.
Funeral Service will be Sunday, August 29, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers, Beaumont.
