Randie “Catfish” Pitre, 48, of Cheek, died Monday, October 4, 2010, in Corpus Christi.

He was born December 7, 1961, to Dollie Williard and Robert Lane Pitre. A 1980 graduate from Forest Park High School in Beaumont, Randie enjoyed fishing and working as a driller in the oil field industry.

He is survived by his fiancé, Carol Posey of Corpus Christi; sister, Wanda Pitre of Cheek; brother, Robert Sprouse of Cleveland; and many loving cousins.

His cremation arrangements were held at Unity Chapel in Corpus Christi.

We were good friends in high school. I've thought about you often over the years. We had some good times back then. We were always up to something. Needless to say, I was shocked to hear the news. You will be missed. My heart goes out to Wanda and your fiance.
