Susan “Susie” Kay Jones, 52, of Crystal Beach died August 28, 2010, in an auto accident.
A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, she had lived at Crystal Beach, Texas since 2005. Susie collected sea glass from Crystal Beach and driftwood and crafted her treasures from the beach. She was an avid beach comber, loved the beach and riding in the golf cart. Susie enjoyed reading and always talked about writing a book one day. Another dream of hers was to start her very own Hospice for Aids patients at the beach. Susie was a very caring and compassionate person who loved her family and friends with all her heart and soul and was one who never met a stranger.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Broussard’s 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. An additional memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Lawrence United Methodist Church, 5200 North Shadeland Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46226-1898.
Susie is survived by her husband, Les Jones of Crystal Beach; daughter, Carrie Harris l son, Dustin Johnson and his wife Judy all of Indianapolis; step-son, Jeff Jones and his wife Chrissy of Lumberton; step-daughters, Julie Jones May and her husband David of Austin, Paige Fletcher and her husband Jeremie of Houston; sisters, Sandy Butler of Indianapolis and Sherry Eggers and her husband Wally of Florida; and grandchildren, Isaiah Harris, Elijah Harris, Desirae Johnson, Autum Luncford, Leo May, Zoe May, Ari May, Kristyn Jones, Jakob Jones, Ramsey Fletcher, Arden Fletcher.
