Rosie Inez Johnson, 79, of Nederland died Friday, August 20, 2004 at her resident.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. Shane Baxter officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Beaumont and lived in the Beaumont and Nederland area all of her life. She retired as cafeteria manager for the Beaumont Independent School District with several years of service. She was also a member of the St. Charles Alter Society.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Johnson of Beaumont. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Lyn Myers of Crystal Beach; four sons, Alex Edward Johnson of Timmonsville, South Carolina, Darrell Andrew Johnson of Luling, Louisiana, Glen Allen Johnson of Beaumont, and Perry Dewayne Johnson of Portland, Texas; one sister, Dollie East of Wimberly, Texas; seven grandchildren, Patricia Anjanette Howell, Timothey Johnson, Stephanie Fertitta, Stephen Dewey Johnson, Jason Wayne Myers, Christa D’Ann Thoms, and John Buster Myers; four great grandchildren, Bryleigh Myers, Kelby Myers, Lacie Lyn Thoms, and Colton Wayne Thoms.
