James “Mac” McManus, 82, of Nederland died, Friday August 20, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Elvin Gibson officiating. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the mortuary.
Mr. McManus was a native of Belpre, Ohio and lived in Nederland since 1967. He retired from Texaco Research in Port Arthur as an Accountant with 30 years of service. He served with the United States Sea Bee’s during WWII, and the Koran War.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Osterhoudt McManus of Nederland; one daughter, Susan McManus Varnado and husband Morris of Sour lake; one brother, George Robert McManus of Clarksburg, West Virginia; two grandchildren, Kevin, and Keith Varnado, and one great grandchild, Ethan Varnado.
