Anne Elizabeth Williams Schrang, born in Beaumont, Texas on April 7, 1964, died August 19, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2004 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with a committal at Broussard’s Crematorium. The Reverend Dean Calcote will officiate at the service. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Broussard’s.
Anne was educated at All Saints Episcopal School, graduated from Forest Park High School and attended Lamar University. She was a voracious reader with a wide variety of interests. Her book collection was in the hundreds, many of which she read several times.
Anne loved animals of all kinds continuing a family tradition of adopting many strays over the years. Her family currently is raising two dogs, two cats and a fish. Her latest activity was English riding with her daughter.
Anne would have wanted any remembrances to be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
Survivors include her husband, Robert B. (Bob) Schrang; son, Otto B. Schrang; daughter, Betty Louise Schrang; parents, Nell Florey Williams and Wallace D. Williams of Beaumont; Wally Williams, Jr. and wife, Lisa and their children, Pierce, Audrey and Allison Williams, all of Dallas. Also surviving is mother-in-law, Jenny Schrang and a host of relatives on both sides.
Anne gave her whole self to those she loved, and will be terribly missed by everyone she knew. The family sincerely appreciates the overwhelming response received.
