John and I are very sorry that we were out of town when Wendell died and for his funeral. He was a wonderful man who was very smart and had a lovely sense of humor. He will certainly be missed.

Dear Ms. Jill and family,
So sorry to hear of Wendell's passing, but am so confident he would be so pleased with the Memorial Service last weekend - I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but know it was so wonderful for mom to be there "singing for Wendell". My deepest sympathies and praise for a wonderful life to have blessed the church and community.
