Irene A. Gandy, 94 years, of Nederland, passed away, Sunday, August 8, 2004 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Groves.
Irene was born September 19, 1909 in Fort Worth and had lived in Nederland since 1983.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-9 pm, Tuesday, August 10, 2044 at Broussard’s Mortuary 505 12th. St. Nederland, TX. Interment and graveside services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
Survivors include two sons, S. O. Gandy, Jr. and wife, Anne Ruth of Beaumont, R. L. Gandy, Sr. and wife, Aileen of Orange; two daughters, Betty Louise Bender and husband, Wally of Norfolk, VA, and Donna K. Deitz and husband, Ben of Mena, AR. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Mrs. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel O. Gandy and one daughter, Marion Gray King.
