Dolly Doiron Wolfrom, 76, of Beaumont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Born August 20, 1933, at Hotel Dieu in Beaumont, Dolly attended Beaumont High School, Gulfport College in Mississippi, and The University of Texas in Austin, where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. It was in Austin that she met her husband of Fifty-five years, Stanton Wolfrom. They married, and after short periods of time in Corpus Christi, Lockhart and San Antonio, they returned to Beaumont to raise their family.

Dolly was a member of many civic organizations and served on many boards. She was particularly proud of her involvement with the Beaumont Art Museum, Kaleidoscope Festival, and The Beaumont Heritage Society. She was also a past Social Chairman for the Neches River Festival. Dolly was a Charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she served on the Altar Guild and was named Mother of the Year in 1997. In addition, Dolly enjoyed her monthly meetings with the Lunch Bunch and the Sewing Club.

Dolly was a great cook and loved to dine on good food with family and friends. She loved a good road trip to new restaurants and loved traveling with her husband, especially to University of Texas football games.

Her parents, Woodrow and Joyce Doiron; and sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Charles Serafino preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Stanton Wolfrom; daughter, Karen Melvin and her husband Dave of Vestavia Hills, Alabama; sons, Stanton Wolfrom and his wife Suzanne of Beaumont, and Scott Wolfrom of The Woodlands; grandchildren, Michael and Keith Melvin, Megan and Taylor Wolfrom, and Austin and Lauren Wolfrom; niece, Susan Maher; nephew, Charles Serafino; and numerous cousins from both parents’ large families.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Trinity United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2010, at Broussard’s.
