Hiroko Saide, 89 of Nederland, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in Longview, Texas.
Funeral service for Mrs. Saide is scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, December 11, 2009 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Reverend Wayne Spanhanks officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
A native of Kyoto, Japan, Mrs. Saide has lived in the area for 55 years. She was a homemaker raising two daughters and taking care of her husband. She loved to paint in oil and was a member of T.A.M.S.
Mrs. Saide was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Joseph Patrick Saide, Jr. She is survived by daughters, Amy Williams and husband Rick of Nederland; Helen Spanhanks and husband Wayne of Longview; grandchildren, Jason Williams and his wife Amber of Nederland, Jennifer Wisnewski and her husband Matt of Wisconsin; Joshua Spanhanks of Longview; Leah Hallmark and her husband Kirk of Nederland and 5 great grandchildren.
