Ruby Newsome, 82, of Beaumont died Monday, February 16, 2004 at Dubuis Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, at Cristo Rey Catholic Church under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
A lifelong resident of Beaumont, she was the owner of La Raza Cantina.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Hunt of Beaumont; son, Ronnie Newsome and wife, Donna of Beaumont; grandchildren, Paul Hunt, Angel Pessink, Demetria Arita, Jason Newsome and Joshua Newsome; great-grandchildren, Patrick Pessink, Lina Pessink, Abriana Acosta and Alicia Arita; and nephews, Henry Garcia and Adolph Garcia.
