Niels T. Johnson, 78, of Sour Lake died Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. A native of Kenedy, and Beaumont area resident since 1946, Mr. Johnson was an Insurance Agent in Port Arthur and later in life owned a service station in Nederland.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1, 2004 at Guidry Cemetery in Batson under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the mortuary.
Survivors include his wife Ann Johnson of Sour Lake; daughters, Kristi Johnson of Austin, Kim Barker and her husband Keith of Port Arthur, and Kelli Sedtal and her husband Joe of LaBelle; son, Lee Scott Johnson and his wife Jan of Lumberton; brother, Carlos Johnson and his wife Lynette of Manor; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and other loving family members.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Henry Johnson.
