Lila F. Williams

My sincerest sympathy--I will miss visiting with
her as she walked her dog.

Several years ago, we lived in the same apartment complex and we would talk as she sat on her bench underneath the trees. It was always a delight to see her with her dogs and talk about her adventures in her motorhome. After I moved, I often thought of her as I would pass down the road. Truly a wonderful lady.

Lila has been like family since we met her. I remember her coming down the stairs from the apartment above my Mom's with Fred, and later with Fred and Chrissy. She was always heading out on another adventure in her van with her puppies and leaving with a huge smile. I always gushed to her over her cute outfits because she always looked so classy and cute. She handed a few down to me and I treasure them. My other memory is of Lila falling from the sky with a parachute attached at 80 yrs old. What a brave lady. We will miss Lila.

I'm a tenant at Longfellow Apartments and visited Lila from time to time. Sometimes she would be walking her dogs and other times she might be sitting on her bench. She was a neat lady and I always enjoyed lilstening to her stories.

To the Williams Family,

I was privileged to know both your father and mother through my association with Lamar University and Lamar Institute of Technology. I talked with your mother almost daily when she worked for Bryan Beck in the San Jacinto and my office was on the same floor. Please accept my condolences during your time of loss.

I shall miss my 'friend' ,Lila, very much,and I know she is happy now and running her feet thru some patch of 'sand' on a beach' right now, She was my 'bullriding' pal and a dear friend to myself and my Mom, Mabel Ferrell,of Longfellow.
