Muriel Clifton, 84, of Beaumont died June 12, 2004 at her residence. A native and resident of Beaumont most of her life, Mrs. Clifton was a member of the Grotto Ladies and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years, Lt. Col. James Clifton of Beaumont; daughter, Jimmie Muriel Clifton of Rockport; sisters, Arthur Lee Hanna and Ann Literal; brother, Butch Schnider; grandson, Parker Sniffen and his wife Natalie of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont followed by graveside services at Village Mills Cemetery, Village Mills. A gathering of family and friends will be on Monday evening, June 14, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
