Visitation will begin at 12 noon Wednesday with the family present from 5:00-7:00 P.M. at the mortuary.

Born in Ansley, Louisiana on August 22, 1934 to Frank Joseph and Cliffie Jane Barthelemy, Frank grew up in Jonesboro Hodge, Louisiana. He graduated from Bossier City High School in Bossier City, Louisiana in 1954 and started work with Amoco Production Company then called Pan American Oil Company. He was married to his school sweetheart, Linda, in November of 1956. Shortly after in December of that same year, Frank was drafted and took a leave of absence from Amoco to serve in the Army. He was honorably discharged and returned home to his family and his career with Amoco in December of 1958. Frank and Linda then started their family and became proud parents with the birth of their eldest son Mark in September of 1959. One quickly became two in April of 1961 with the arrival of their son Randall. A few years later they were blessed with the surprise of one more bundle of joy, a third son they named David in March of 1971. Frank and his family lived in several cities and made many friends while he worked as a Material Supervisor with Amoco Oil Company until his retirement in October of 1993 after 38 years of service. Frank and Linda made Nederland their home in 1994.

He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, supportive father and faithful friend. He was an honest and generous man who will be missed by many.

Mr. Barthelemy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Barthelemy of Nederland; sons, Mark Barthelemy of Apex, North Carolina; Randall Barthelemy of Winnfield, Louisiana; David Barthelemy of Kirbyville, Texas and David’s wife Michelle; four grandchildren, Amanda Brown, Mark, Malynda and Dawson Barthelemy, three great grandchildren, Dylan, Dayton, and Kaytlan Brown and sister, Lillian “Tommie” Humphries of Bossier City, Louisiana.

I just finished viewing the video and cried as I recalled all of the wonderful times we have shared. My heart is broken at the thought of not seeing Allen anymore in this life. But I am comforted in thinking of meeting again when we all are together again with Jesus, our Lord, in Heaven. I love you my dear sister and you are continually in my prayers asking God to comfort your heart. Words fail me. . . my sorrow is so deep. My heart is so full of love and care for you. . .you were always my baby. . .and when you hurt---I hurt. We all loved Allen and will always keep loving memories of him in our hearts. You are very precious to me and I am here for you. LOVE & PRAYERS, Jean

Uncle Allen has always been a Gator's Gang favorite! Many, many wonderfully fond memories will always be in our hearts and minds of this kind, humorous, loving uncle. Heaven's gain is Earth's loss. We love him and you, Aunt Linda! You are a Godly, strong woman and I know you will continue to be a flaming testimony of God's goodness and grace. You have made an enormous impact in my life. You and Uncle Allen stand out in my memories of happy vacations to the South. Love and prayers.
