William Bryan Jacobs III “Bill”, 60 of Nederland passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at his residence.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Reverend Dan Malain celebrant under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. Interment will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Full Military Honors. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the mortuary.
Bill was a native of Louisville, Kentucky and lived most of his life in Nederland. Bill was retired from the U. S. Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant. He also was a Complex Manager for Valero in Port Arthur. Bill was an active member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Jacobs.
Bill is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rhonda Jacobs of Nederland; daughter, Jana Jacobs Leibo and husband Jonathan of San Diego, California; sons, John Bryan Jacobs and wife Lisa of Liberty, TX, Jay Derek Jacobs of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Kaden and Kaia Leibo of San Diego, California, Justin Jacobs, Sommer and Chloe Miles of Liberty; Sarah and Brooke Fairchild of Beaumont; great-granddaughter, Aubrey; parents, Bill and Grace Jacobs of Nederland. Bill is also survived by his sisters, Judy Gray and husband James, and Sherry Read and husband Ronnie; brothers, Tom Jacobs and wife Ali, Jim Jacobs, Doug Jacobs and wife Rena, Jerry Jacobs and wife Susan, Chris Jacobs and wife D’Layne and many family and friends.
