Balkrishna V. Kale, 65, of Beaumont, passed away after a brief illness Sunday, July 12, 2009, surrounded by his family and friends at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
He was born in Sholapur, India on August 28, 1943, and finished medical school at Seth G.S. Medical College in Bombay in 1966. Dr. Kale was board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and came to Beaumont in 1976 to start a private practice. He was an accomplished physician who was loved by his patients.
After a successful medical career, he joined South Texas Law College and became a lawyer in 1989. Dr. Kale was active in his legal career at the time of his death. He was well-read and had a sharp memory for details. Dr. Kale supported various local charitable organizations as well as charities in India.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with cremation to follow at Broussard’s Crematorium.
He will be dearly missed by people who knew him well.
His friends and family would like to thank all of the staff at Harbor Hospice for their compassionate care, and especially thank Mr. James Edwards for his help in Dr. Kale’s final days.
