LeRoy “Rip” King, 61, of Sour Lake died Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at his place of residence. A native of Beaumont, and three year resident of Sour Lake, Mr. King was an Oilfield Gatekeeper. He was a United States Navy veteran.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont followed by burial in Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 23, 2004 at the mortuary.
Survivors include his wife Rebecca King of Sour Lake; sons, Robert King of San Antonio, and James King and his wife Jennifer of Marshall; daughter, Christy King of Beaumont; mother, Evelyn King of Beaumont; brother, Sweeney King of Beaumont; sister, Iris Sue Allen of Kountze; and grandchildren, Jessica King, Jimmy King, and Harrison King.
