Leon Joseph Miller, 79, of Kountze died Monday, June 29, 2009, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. Leon was born November 12, 1929 in Iota, Louisiana to Felix and Ovelia (Thibodeaux) Miller. A resident of Kountze for the last two years, he was a retired mechanic. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his children, Michael Leon Miller , Terry Miller, John Robert Miller, Jeanine Fisher, and Sarah Keith all of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, John Miller and his wife Peanut of Kountze; sisters, Eda Robins of Beaumont and Eva Landry of Houston; twenty grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. prior to service time.
