Dear Margaret,
We want to send you a very strong hug. Thank-you very much for visiting my folks while you were in Texas- they really enjoyed seeing you and your family, and you brought back to them fond memories of us playing when we were all little kids.
Take Care and Stay in Touch,
Doug, Nati, Louis & Marina

So sorry I was unable to attend. I am working this week as the night camp nurse at Lakeview in Palestine, TX.
Helen will always be remembered as being a loving, talented teacher whose children in the classroom had one of the finest HISD first grade bi-lingual teachers.

Margaret,
It has been my pleasure to have known and worked with your mother since 1986 at Sutton Elem. She was extremely proud of you and enjoyed keeping us informed as to where you were and what you were doing. Once she told us that you were in Africa doing research on the Saber-Tooth Tiger. Is that right?
She worked so diligently to bring out the best in each child entrusted to her care. She treasured every minute of instructional time with them. She put up with no interruptions at all. Once a parent approached her right after the morning bell had rung. The parent asked if she could have just a minute of her time. Helen glanced around the room, then looked at the parent and told her that she would not be taking one minute from her, she would be taking one minute from each one of those children, and that would add up to about thirty minutes. She was all business and always put the children first.
