There is one thing I must add here before any more time passes...something some people might see as incomplete in my entry of yesterday, the poem. Does one consider the love, honor, respect and allegiance a Christian believer holds for God's Son, Jehoshua--the only living Son of the only living Jehovah--or the sacrifice He made on our behalf a small thing?
The Bible tells us Christ is our key and He will separate the goats from the sheep, but Margaret Katherine O'Casey, P.I. says it best:

TOAD UNDER A HARROW
Camp Matigua: the Lost and Forgotten.

Excuse me for self-promoting, but...What are the chances anyone but you and I will be reading this? I'll not write any more till next year...promise.

It's not the big events alone that make us what we are;
Not the exciting moments when we're swinging on a star.
It's the little things that happen as along the road we trod.
The little things determine what we're really worth to God.
anon.

We mentioned in our mother's obit that she was very devoted to her family. What we didn't address was the many times she pulled her children out of the ditch.
I continue to be amazed at what she did for us...a small woman with a wealth of common sense.
When my power was turned off, she gave me a grocery bag full of her old Christmas candles...and they were impressively warm.
When a guy stole my purse at the mall, she gave me one of hers... a small thing, but it helped ease the trauma of being hit in the face with my own hand bag, as well as losing important stuff.
She kept the birdbath I gave her in pristine condition so she could one day return it to me looking the same.
She kept me company while I tried to change out the battery cable on my car.
She had a knack for locating cute and cozy, warm nightgowns and lovely, white blouses.
Wherever I traveled, whatever time of night or day I knew she was a phone call away.
