Norma Ledoux Maxwell, 69 of Nederland, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the Medical Center of S.E.TX in Port Arthur.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 Friday, June 12, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, with Reverend Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s in Nederland will a Scriptural Rosary recited at 6:00 P.M. by Deacon Dallas Broussard.
Mrs. Maxwell was a native of Port Neches and has lived in the mid county area all of her life. She was a homemaker, devoting her life to her husband and sons and grandsons. Mrs. Maxwell was a 1958 graduate of Nederland High School and enjoyed gardening and to travel. Norma was preceded in death by her sisters, Lenora Smith, Lillie Smith and Laura Ledoux; also brother, David Ledoux, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Jimmie R. Maxwell of Nederland; sons, Mark Maxell and wife Bonnie, and Richard Kent Maxwell all of Nederland; grandsons, Matthew and Jarred Maxwell; niece, Betty Askew of Orange County; and brother-in-law, I.N. Smith of Fairmont.
