Mary Barrow, 64, of High Island died June 7, 2009 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.
A native of Pensacola, Florida, she lived in the High Island area since 1962. Mary worked as a Laundry Supervisor at the Stiles and Gist Units for the Texas Department of Correction.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 1308 Weeks Avenue in High Island with burial to follow in High Island Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Broussard's.
Mary is survived by her mother, Lovenia McMullen; son, Kendall Barrow and his wife Jodie all of Winnie; daughter, Darla DeMoss and her husband David of High Island; grand children, Dustin Barrow, David DeMoss, Dalton DeMoss, Derek DeMoss, Dannon DeMoss, Kandace Russell, Lindsay Hedges, Kendall Barrow, Jr., Tyler Honea, Ricky Barrow, Nicole Honea; great-grandchildren, Jadyn Russell, Sky Hedges; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Barrow.
