Gloria “Tiny” Carona, 76, of Groves, died Saturday, July 3, 2004 at Herman Memorial Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at Broussard’s in Nederland with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening, July 5, 2004 at the mortuary.
Mrs. Carona was a native of Port Arthur and lived all of her life in the Port Arthur and Groves area. She retired from a nursing career that began at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur and then for Dr. Walter McRee and Dr. James Petry.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Carona, and daughter, Kim Carona, also by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Carona of Nederland, and son Ken Carona and his wife Rhonda of Nederland. Also her Granddaughter, Erin Rode, and great grandchildren, Trace and Brandon Rode
