Lucille Nugent Howard, 83, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at her daughter’s residence in Nederland, Texas.
Funeral service are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 16, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Pineville, Louisiana, with Dr. Mark Martin, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Pineville under the direction of Broussard's, 505 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of her family and friends will be Friday evening at the church from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
A native of the Alexandria and Pineville area, Mrs. Howard has spent the last eight years in Nederland with her daughter and son-in law. She graduated from Bolton High School in Alexandria in 1942. Lucille retired from Wellans Department Store as a buyer with twenty-five years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Ralph F. Howard.
Survivors include her sons, Ralph W. Howard and his wife Carol of Wamego, Kansas, and Randy A. Howard and his wife Cathy of Alexandria, Louisiana; daughters, Carol L. Rabalais and her husband John of Nederland, Melissa K. Boswell and her husband Richard of Bedford; seventeen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
