Harshad A. Shah, 69, of Beaumont, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Mr. Shah was the CFO of Coburn Supply Company. He was born in Palej, India (near Gujarat) on October 8, 1939. In India he taught economics at a well renowned University. Harshad came to the United States forty years ago with his wife Sudha Shah. He graduated from Lamar with high honors attaining his MBA.
He is survived by his wife Sudha of forty-three years; his beautiful daughter, Pooja; nephew, Nitin Shah; brother-in-law, Hemant Shah; sister-in-law, Smita Shah; and nieces, Lila Shah and Datta Shah.
Harshad Shah was a very caring and loving father and husband. When there was a need he was always available for his friends and family. He went to great lengths to see his family and friends happy. His sense of humor was always welcomed and brought smiles to many faces even in the most troubled times. His number one hobby was cooking and entertaining everyone. He will be missed.
His funeral service will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Broussard’s.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s.
