Rose Ellen See Bertrand, 88, of Beaumont, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care.
Born April 13, 1921, Rose was a native of Spindletop Hill and the youngest of ten children. After graduating from South Park High School, she married J.C. Bertrand on March 4, 1939. Rose worked as a book keeper and was also a member of South Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Clarence Bertrand and his wife Shirley, Reagan Bertrand and his wife Nina, Ronald Bertrand and his wife Helen and Royce Bertrand and his wife Judy; grandchildren, Terry L., Brian K., Mark A. Jeff L., John D., Chris and Holli Bertrand, Celina Rice and Diane Silver; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at South Park Baptist Church with Reverend James Blackwell officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at the mortuary.
