Betty Watson, 85 of Port Neches, Texas, passed away Friday, May 08, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services are schedule for 10:00 A.M., Monday, May 11, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Port Neches with Mr. Jerry Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s in Nederland.
Mrs. Watson was a native of Fulton, Missouri, and has lived in this area for 60 years. She was an active and longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Port Neches, loved her Omega Sunday school class, Christian Women’s Fellowship, and was an avid Bridge player, but most importantly, she was a loving homemaker. Her husband, Ivan Watson, Jr., preceded Betty in death.
She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Smith and husband Richard of Vidor, Texas; son, Ivan Watson and wife Dani of Port Neches, Texas; four grandchildren, Becky Tauzin, Cindy Spencer, John Smith and Erin Watson; four great grandchildren, Heather Tauzin, Joshua Tauzin, Madelyn Smith and Jared Ivan Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ladies W.M.U., First United Methodist Church, 1826 Nall, Port Neches, Texas 77651.
