Michael Aldis Manuel, 58, of Beaumont, died Thursday, May 7, 2009. He was born on May 4, 1951, to Aldis and Mary Reed Manuel in Jennings, Louisiana and has been a resident of the area since 1971.
He is survived by his wife, Jovita Manuel of Beaumont; son, Derek Manuel of Beaumont; daughter, Amanda Pastran of Lake Charles, Louisiana; brothers, Merlin Manuel of Welch, Louisiana, Derral Manuel of Roanoke, Louisiana, Charles Manuel of Vidor, Ricky Manuel of Huntsville; sister, Drucella Crutchfield of Clearlake, Florida; grandchildren, Natasha Touchet and Kloey Touchet, both of Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debrah Manuel; and brother, Larry Joseph Manuel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, with burial to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Cemetery, Elton, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the mortuary.
