Mark Daniel Barnett, 53, of Port Arthur, died Monday, April 27, 2009 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.
A celebration of Mark’s life will held Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Broussard’s in Nederland at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ralph Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10 AM Sunday morning at the mortuary.
Mark was born August 18, 1955 in Port Arthur to John R. and Dorothy Barnett Sr. He lived in this area all of his life. He was employed as a License Vocational Nurse with the Southeast Texas Kidney Center for 15 years, also was a member and Journeyman Pipe fitter with #195 Local in Nederland.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Barnett. He is survived by his two daughters, Marci Barnett Krautner and husband Joseph of Houston, and Melissa Barnett of Groves; his father John R. Barnett Sr. and wife Betty of Groves; his two brothers, Rocky Barnett and wife Billie of Port Arthur, and Wayne Barnett and wife Bobbie of Bridge City; the mother of his children, Melinda Ramirez Badon of Groves, also several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Mark Barnett Benefit Fund, at the Neches Federal Credit Union, 2623 Nederland Avenue in Nederland, Account # 33467.
