Evelyn Richardson, 85, of Kountze died April 27, 2009 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. Evelyn was born September 21, 1923 to Will and Molly (Joles) Goynes in Shreveport Louisiana. Having lived most of her life in the Kountze area, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Maxine McInnis and her husband Mac of Crosby, Gale Richardson of Kountze, and Ernest Richardson and his wife Sylvia of Kountze; grandchildren, Jerry Richardson, Priscilla Carr, Melissa Sasser, and Stewart Richardson; and eight great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Abe Richardson, Jr.; sisters, Lillian Strings, Faye Markel, Mamie Reinhart, and Oma Dell Thornton; and her brothers, Sonny Goynes and Silsbee Cooper.
Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
