Frances “Franny” Marie Fontenot, 56, of Winnie died April 24, 2009 at her home. A native of Beaumont and formerly of the Winnie area, Franny moved back to Winnie in 2007.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Franny is survived by her loving husband, Lester Fontenot, Jr.; mother, Marjorie Barton; sons, Chris Fontenot and his wife, Sarah all of Winnie, Trent Fontenot and his wife, Angela of Humble; daughter, Amanda Davis and her husband, Michael of Martinez, CA.; brother, Terry Barton and his wife, Eunice of Houston; sister, Carol Gentz and her husband, James of Winnie; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, John C. Barton; sister, Judy Trammell; grandsons, Connor Davis and Zachary Davis.
