Patricia Ann Fort, 73, of Nederland passed away Friday, April 24, 2009 at Cypress Glenn Nursing and Rehab in Port Arthur.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 27, 2009 at Hillcrest Baptist Church 3324 Park Drive in Nederland under the direction of Broussard's in Nederland with Reverend Patrick Hunter and Reverend Elvin Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the mortuary.
Patricia was a native of Waskom, Texas and lived in Nederland since 1958. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and a retired nurse for Dr. Felix Walters. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Mae Heard; two sisters, Mary Bruce and Lee Berryman; and two brothers, J.D. and Billy Heard.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jimmie Fort of Nederland; daughters, Vickie Broussard of Beaumont, Kaye Rodriguez and husband Roland of Big Canoe, Georgia, and Dianne Fort of Chicago; grandchildren, Teah Doyle and husband Ryan, Tara James and husband Chad, Dustin Mitchell and fiancée Shannon Cobern, and Marcie Broussard; and two sisters, Helen Culpepper and Peggy Rhame and husband Price, several nieces, nephews and best friend Sandra Pullig.
