Ellen Vickery, 70, of Prescott, Arkansas died Thursday, April 23, 2009. She was born on February 16, 1939 to Clyde and Kathleen Pate Anderson in Sulphur Springs, Texas and lived most of her life in Southeast Texas before retiring to Arkansas in 1990. Ellen was a retired nurse and a member of First United Methodist Church in Prescott, Arkansas. She loved gardening and photography.
She is survived by her son, Allen Lanning and his wife Sandra of The Woodlands; daughters, Terry LeGrande and her husband Mark of Beaumont, Carla Laudig of Pearland; grandchildren, Amanda Frase, Eric Lanning, Katie LeGrande, Kelli LeGrande, Melissa Laudig; brothers, Wesley Anderson, David Anderson and his wife Beth; nieces and nephews, Yancy Anderson, Amy May, and Clint Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
