Esther Schaefer, 93 of Nederland, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009.
Funeral services for Mrs. Schaefer are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland, with Reverend Francis Schroeder officiating. Interment will be 3:00 P.M. at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland.
Mrs. Schaefer was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Herbert Schaefer; parents, Gus and Sofie Boehm; sisters, Gertie Hilley, Lucille Schaefer, Maeola Roese; brothers, Emmett Boehm, Eddie Boehm and Leonard Boehm.
She is survived by daughters, Joyce Marks and Linda Jaetzold and special son-in-laws, Stanley Marks and Gary Jaetzold; five grandchildren’ Michael Marks and wife Kim, Melissa Stansbury and husband Nathan, Barbara Erickson and husband Bubba, Heidii Bugbee and husband Chris and Cory Jaetzold and wife Jennifer; four great grandchildren, Aaron Stansbury, Jon Erickson, Lainey Jaetzold and soon to be born, Braden Bugbee; brothers Oris Boehm and wife Pauline, Bill Boehm and wife Gloria; sisters, Erna Hemann, Ruth Homeyer, and husband Fred; sister-in-laws, Jean Boehm and Joyce Boehm; brother-in-law, Bernie Roese.
