Betty Lou Colichia, 73, of Nederland, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Reverend Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday evening at the mortuary from 5:00-8:00 P.M.
Betty was born in Port Arthur, and has lived in the Port Arthur and Nederland area all of her life. She was a homemaker and enjoyed decorating, tending her plants, shopping, going to the Casinos and dancing at the Pompano Club.
Mrs. Colichia was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Colichia; and her parents.
She is survived by her sons, Rickey Colichia and wife Jamie of Nederland, Rodney Colichia and life partner Tina of Port Neches, and Kirk Colichia and wife Cindy of Nederland; grandchildren, Ashleigh Ratcliff and husband Chase, Kristen Colichia, Jordan Colichia and Todd Edgar and wife Brittney; great granddaughter, Braeleigh Ratcliff; step great grandchildren, Justin Bradley Edgar and Jonna Reneé Edgar; brother, Johnny Doré; sisters, Alla Mae Hebert and Nancy Byron. Not to be forgotten, her beloved pet, Shugs.
